AWANA
At Emmanuel we value the opportunity to encourage your children to "Hide God's Word in Their Hearts." AWANA is a wonderful program for children. It teaches children to learn God's truths in a fun way. Our desire is that each child would come to trust Christ as their Savior and grow in His love.
What is AWANA? The name AWANA literally means "Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed," and is based from scripture found in II Timothy 2:15. II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Programs are based on age appropriate material and abilities:
- The Cubbies program is for children 3 years old up to Kindergarten
- The Sparks program is from K-5 thru 2nd grade
- The Truth & Training program is for 3rd grade thru 6th grade.
Clubbers will be challenged each week with a "Bible Lesson," "Handbook Time" where a clubber will be able to complete his/her workbook and earn awards, and finally "Game Time" where clubbers will be given the opportunity to participate in physical activities and learn new AWANA games.
AWANA Club meets on Wednesday nights from September thru May, starting at 6:50pm and ending at 8:40pm.
