ADMISSIONS
Is there bus transportation?
Public School bus transportation is available if the end of your school district is within ten miles of our school.
What type of textbooks do you use?
All of our textbooks are from Bob Jones Press or A Beka. Two exceptions would be our handwriting in elementary and our Pennsylvania History book.
What is the dress code?
General dress code would be that young men are to wear collared shirts and "Docker-type" pants. Our young ladies wear dresses or skirts and tops. Our desire is for our students to have a neat appearance. For further information, please see the Student Handbook.
Does the school participate in extra-curricular academic competitions?
EBCA is a member of Keystone Christian Education Association and we participate in their yearly academic and fine arts competition.
Is there a lunch program?
We have a lunch program five days a week. Lunch menus are sent home monthly so that students can choose which lunch they would like to purchase.
Does the school encourage parental involvement?
We have a group called MOMS (Moms on a Mission), which are heavily involved in support of the school. See the MOMS page of our website for more information on this group. We are also very concerned that we maintain a close relationship with the parents concerning their child's academic progress.
SCHOOL DAY
When is the earliest children can be dropped off in the morning and when are they to be picked up after school?
Students can be dropped off by 7:40 am and they are picked up at 3pm. We do have an extended care program until 5pm for an extra charge.
If I drive my children to school, where do I drop them off and where do I pick them up?
They are to be dropped off and picked up at the side door of the gymnasium.
When is chapel?
Elementary Chapel meets every Wednesday morning and Junior/Senior High Chapel meets every Tuesday at 10 am.
TRANSPORTATION
Whom do I call about busing problems?
Busing problems are the responsibility of the parents. Please contact the school for the phone number of your school district.
How do I schedule transportation for my child?
To schedule transportation for your child you need to call EBCA and we will contact the busing company.
Does the school allow student drivers?
Student drivers are permitted but must turn in their keys at the office when they arrive and pick them up when they leave.
ABSENCE AND HOMEWORK POLICY
Do I need to notify the school if my child is absent?
Yes. We need to be aware of where the student is that day for our safety and for yours.
How do I get my absent child's homework?
We ask that you make a call to the school office the morning of your child's absence. The homework assignments will then be ready by the end of the day.
